PEOPLE · PERSPECTIVES · POSSIBILITY
Beginning in Oslo. A founder-led intention, put into practice.
Explore our purpose01 / Purpose
OPAQUE is being developed with the intention of establishing a nonprofit organization. We want a structure that can support activities, look after the identity and make commitments clear.
The work is being initiated by the founder, beginning with the people and experiences we can bring together in Oslo.
We intend to establish an organization that can support the movement. Formal registration and structure remain in development.
Contribution roles, ways of working and opportunities to take part will be explained as they become concrete.
A clear, modest offer can be valuable. Explain what you can do, keep the commitments you make and let the other person know if something changes.

02 / Making an offer
Say what you can offer, how much time you have and where your help ends. Try an example, then see how it changes with the reply.
An imagined exchange / Nothing is sent
Make an offer. Try a reply.
Give your attention to what they are saying. Ask before offering advice.
“I have 15 minutes. Would it help if I simply listened?”
An offer is still a question. Wait for the answer.
These replies are examples. Each one changes what happens next.
Ask whether the offer is useful. Adjust it together. An agreement begins only when both people choose it.
Keep the wording if it helps you start a real conversation.
The contribution relay
Imagined encounters, to make the idea concrete.
Someone mentions an idea they have been thinking about. Start by hearing it. Find out whether they want advice before offering any.
“What have you been thinking about?”
An opening is a possibility, not an obligation to engage.
The other person keeps the choice.
03 / Responsibility
You can bring something to the movement in many ways. Formal representation would involve a separate agreement and responsibilities.
You can take part through conversation, listening, a shared experience or a contribution you choose to make. There is no particular occupation or level of expertise you need to bring.
Different amounts of time. Different ways to contribute.
Supporting OPAQUE does not make you available all the time. A conversation is a choice for that moment. Either person can decline, change the subject, take a break or leave.
Ask whether a hello is welcome. Respect the answer.
We are developing a distinct role for people who represent OPAQUE and take on agreed responsibilities. This proposed professional cohort would involve vetting, a defined contribution and expectations for conduct and follow-through.
We will describe the formal process before inviting people to take on that responsibility.
Wearing the mark, taking part or buying an item would not make someone an OPAQUE representative. That responsibility would come through a separate agreement.
